The POPAI University Masters Program is an intensive, two day curriculum designed to help you advance your education and build a community of colleagues to call upon as a lifetime resource. In addition to increasing your knowledge of the industry, the POPAI University Masters Program provides a fast track for earning the Marketing at Retail Certification (MaRC) designation.
The Masters Full Track provides 18 credits towards certification, making MaRC designation more achievable than ever. It is especially designed for those who have not completed the POPAI Master’s program recently and are new to the industry or looking to expand their knowledge about marketing at retail.
The Master’s Advanced Track is a shorter program designed for those who have already completed the Master’s Program or who have been working in the industry for at least seven years. Completing the Advanced Track will earn attendees 12 credits towards MaRC designation.
Course Format
The POPAI University Masters Program takes place over the course of two days of educational sessions. The sessions are small and provide an intimate learning environment that fosters the exchange of ideas and knowledge. All courses will be held in a classroom setting at the Hilton Suites Magnificent Mile hotel in Chicago, IL. Day One focuses on the basics of marketing at retail, production methods, marketing, research, trade practices, and a hands-on demonstration of the latest research tools being used in POPAI’s current research project. Day two includes sessions on design, digital signage, strategy, aisle reinvention and global trends.
The Advanced track will feature social marketing, sustainable design, economic forecasts and detailed research strategies. This one and a half day educational event takes into account your busy schedule and allows for minimal time away from the office.
In addition to the educational courses and workshops, the Master’s Program has built in time for networking amongst participants across both tracks of the program. The value of developing an extensive and long-lasting peer network is just another added value of POPAI University’s Masters Program.
Enrollment for the 2011 POPAI U Masters Program is open. Please contact Alicia Rutherford at arutherford@popai.com with any questions.
