Bruce A. Watson
Rapid Displays West
Bruce’s career began in the point-of-purchase display business in 1971, with Westvaco Displays as a sales representative based in Chicago and covering the entire Midwest. After an acquisition by Schiffenhaus Packaging in 1981, he was promoted to VP of Sales of Displayco Midwest where he remained in this position through another acquisition by Chesapeake Display & Packaging Co. in 1989. With the closure of the Ohio operation in 1997 and its move to Northern KY, he relocated and continued in this capacity until 2000. In that year, he relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area and assumed the position of President of Rapid Displays, CA. Upon retirement in 2008, Bruce started Westfield Consulting, LLC, a consulting firm providing marketing & retail support services to the marketing at-retail industry.
Throughout his career, Bruce served on many POPAI committees, served three terms on the Board of Directors, and was among the first group to receive POPAI’s prestigious CPP certification (today known as the MARC, Marketing at Retail Cer- tification). He was instrumental in the acquisition of the San Francisco POP Show by POPAI in 2008.
Bruce joined the Rotary Club of Westfield, IN in 2010, and on July 1, 2012 was installed as President. He received the prestigious award of Rotarian of the Year for the 2011/2012 Rotary year. Among his hobbies are golf, fishing and a 1962 Austin Healey. Bruce recently celebrated his 41st anniversary with his wife Barbara; they have two children, and two grandchildren.
