In Washington, D.C., and state capitals nationwide, legislation and regulations that impact the marketing at retail industry are under consideration every day. POPAI’s Public Policy Division, the legislative voice for marketing at retail, is committed to advising, advocating, and reporting on federal, state and international marketing at retail policy on behalf of our members and industry.
Advocating for our members and promoting the value of the marketing at retail industry to legislators and policymakers is an important priority for POPAI. To do this, we address legislative and regulatory issues that affect the myriad marketing at retail communities, as well as the industry at large. We also strive to keep our members informed about Washington’s legislative and regulatory activities through action alerts, issue briefs, and quarterly e-briefings.
POPAI Advocates: Power in Numbers
POPAI’s grassroots network supports the marketing at retail community in the legislative process by promoting legislation that will have a positive impact on the industry. POPAI advocates call, e-mail, write, and meet with their Members of Congress on behalf of the association and industry. POPAI sends out action alerts for POPAI Advocates to act upon, helping to ensure that the interests of the marketing at retail community is served and protected.
POPAI Grassroots: Communicating with Legislators
POPAI’s Public Policy Division involves our members directly in the political process. Through providing talking points and issue briefs we enable POPAI Advocates across the country to communicate directly with their elected officials, by sending tailored e-mails on issues of importance for the marketing at retail community. Members of the POPAI’s grassroots network have also participated in legislative fly-ins bringing the issues to the nation’s capital.
Influence: Staying Informed
Influence is a quarterly e-briefing on national, state, and regional public policy and legal issues of importance to marketing at retail professionals and the industry at large. Influence is your source for the issues affecting the entire marketing at retail industry.
