POPAI Announces 2010 Hall of Fame Inductees

Alexandria, VA – Point of Purchase Advertising International (POPAI) today announced the names of four industry professionals to be inducted into the POPAI Hall of Fame.
This year’s inductees are: David Abramsom, Rapid Displays, Inc.; Sandy Carrigan, United Displaycraft; Jim Einstein, RockTenn Merchandising Displays; and Richard Fellinger, Mechtronics Corporation.
“This year’s class of inductees demonstrate very savvy businessman, devoted to the marketing at retail industry, and a driving force behind the development and evolution of the industry as we know it,” said Richard Winter, POPAI President. “Each inductee brought his vibrant and creative energy to our industry over the years, and POPAI, as well as the rest of the marketing at retail community, looks forward to celebrating their careers and accomplishments as we induct them into the POPAI Hall of Fame.”
Hall of Fame members are selected from among those who have made a significant contribution to the marketing at retail industry and have worked in the industry for at least 25 years. The four new inductees will be honored at POPAI’s Night of Honors, which concludes the flagship MarketSmart event to be held January 20, 2011 in Miami Beach, FL at The Palms Hotel.

The inductees have worked in the marketing at retail industry for at least 25 years, made a significant contribution to the industry in their community, and observed ethical business practices during their career. Members of POPAI are solicited for their nominations for this prestigious honor and POPAI’s Nominating Committee selects those individuals who will be inducted into the POPAI Hall of Fame during the Night of Honors at the annual MarketSmart held in January.
